Resident artist at CENTQUATRE-PARIS

BIOGRAPHY

Born in 1987, Alexandre Farto started graffiti at the age of 10. His love of letters and sounds quickly encouraged him to choose his pseudo, Vhils. The Portuguese artist enriched his techniques at the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London, from which he graduated. Today, he uses various supports (wood, posters, metal, polystyrene) and is mainly known for his way of carving walls in order to make faces and the past of the area appear. Since 2005, Vhils has presented his work all over the world, during festivals like the Cans Festival in London.
