a carefully planted area

Located close to the Rue Curial entrance, the garden is a central area surrounded by the Restaurant, the House for Children, the Bookshop and two Shops.

Located on the site of the Funeral Service’s old bodywork and mechanics’ workshop, it has been designed as a "floating" area, accessed by staircases or ramps.

Technically speaking, its location is an independent concrete platform, supported by a metallic structure rooted in the basement, in the old stables.
However, the Garden shows nothing of its industrial past, being instead a carefully planted area. A place for rest, meditation or simply passing through, it is invaded each year by landscape gardeners or plastic artists working with plants to transform the mineral appearance of the building. As the seasons come and go, these changes form an integral part of the life of CENTQUATRE.

When needed, the Garden can be converted into a private area for staging special events.
