PACT Zollverein (Performing Arts Choreographisches Zentrum NRW Tanzlandschaft Ruhr, founded in 2002) is an international theatre venue and interdisciplinary research foundation for the arts.
It offers artists and the wider general public alike, opportunities to gain insights into current tendencies, developments and artistic debates in contemporary art and in particular, dance and performance.
PACT presents a mixed genre programme of its own productions, co-productions and guest performances. These are in turn all closely linked to its key activities in the area of development which include providing residencies for regional and international artists, holding workshops, professional open classes and ateliers and facilitating symposiums, laboratory research projects and university exchange platforms.
The Choreographisches Zentrum NRW GmbH is supported by The Minister President of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, NRW, and the city of Essen. Tanzlandschaft Ruhr is a Kultur Ruhr GmbH project.
