"Do it yourself"
Paul Cox's project for the CENTQUATRE is called "Exposition à faire soi-même" (D.I.Y exhibition). A large scale model of the CENTQUATRE is displayed on a fairly low table (44 cm) to give easy reach to the inside.
A second table, of the same size as the first and next to it, is divided into two parts: it contains a virgin work surface, and compartments containing different construction materials placed by type: wooden and plastic blocks, polypropylene plates, metal rods, thread, wire, fabric, pebbles, polyurethane foam etc.
The public is invited to construct its own installations in the model, which is large enough (510 cm x 170 cm x 50 cm) to allow several builders to work on it at once.
Visitors can use the materials provided for them or bring others as they wish. By taking photo of their work, they will have the ability to feed the "exhitheque", a new participative wall of pictures that takes place in the 104 2.0 area.
The model will be installed successively in different spaces of the CENTQUATRE, beginning with the Curial's nave.
